Our team of paediatric Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Allied Health Assistants are specialists in supporting kids and kids only. We all know that kids' bodies are not the same as adults'. Our team of therapists have completed additional training in general children's development, gross motor development, biomechanics, childhood growth and age appropriate skills at each stage of a child's life - all incorporating the key ingredient, fun!
Whether it's learning to walk, managing pain or supporting learning some of those tricky gross motor skills, our team have the ability to assess, analyse and plan to gain the best from your child. We educate the whole family and support the long-term understanding of how their bodies grow, develop and move, always working toward meaningful goals.
At our paediatric physiotherapy centre we use the most appropriate assessments to understand your child's functional abilities and areas of opportunities. This allows the therapist to objectively measure the exact effects of their therapy sessions. Our evidence-based approach means that we only offer therapy that is really going to work for your kiddo!

Our state of the art paediatric physiotherapy centre is located on the upper level of the professional centre at Ashmore City Shopping Centre. Accessible parking is available on this level if required.

Britt is a strong advocate for patient centred practice and loves involving the family in every child’s physiotherapy care. Her special interests include 0 – 5 year olds; developmental delay, Down Syndrome and other genetic conditions, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy and children with high sensory needs. Britt was born and raised in Rockhampton, Queensland. In 2011 she packed up her life and moved across the country to Perth, Western Australia and began her Bachelor Degree of Physiotherapy at The University of Notre Dame. After graduating, Britt relocated back to Queensland where she initially worked as a Community Physiotherapist. Britt always had a keen interest in paediatrics, so she decided to pursue her passion by completing additional studies with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and Monash University gaining valuable skills and experience. She has been fortunate to work alongside many amazing Physiotherapists during her time working at the Department of Education and in Private Practice – giving her a broad range of skills that she uses every day in her own clinic. She decided to find her own little feet and that’s how Upside was created in 2019. She is currently level 2 APA paediatric and level 1 CME trained. As well as running the clinic, she is a tutor and examiner at Griffith University and also plans to complete her masters of advanced paediatric physiotherapy practice in 2023. Britt has undertaken a number of professional development courses to further grow and advance her skillset:
Amelia graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from University South Australia in 2015, before moving to Melbourne in 2016 and working in Outpatient Rehabilitation at Epworth Hospital. Qualifications
Jason, an Exercise Science graduate from Griffith University, was born and raised in Darling Downs located west of Toowoomba. Over the course of years, Jason has developed a wide set of skills through various diplomas and vocational educational and training certification. Jason has garnered a good amount of experience in the Allied Health industry over the span of 15 years. He has supervised as senior trainer for remedial massage. Furthermore he has managed multidisciplinary allied health clinics in Broadbeach and Miami. Currently, Jason is working as an Allied Health Assistant exclusively within Paediatric Physiotherapy. He is also aspiring to be a Physiotherapist, and is aiming to complete Honours in Paediatrics in 2023. Jason has kept a good balance between work life and personal life. He enjoys his naturalist hobbies alongside his family which comprises of his loving wife Kanae, two sons (Cooper and Sunny) and guinea pigs (Harry and Garry). Apart from exploring nature Jason loves to renovate and go out for fishing
Vanessa is our social media and marketing coordinator. She joined the Upside family earlier this year. She grew up in Sydney NSW and moved to the Gold Coast in 2006 to complete her schooling. Vanessa previously worked in the customer service industry for over 8 years with roles in retail management and hospitality, equipping her with valuable skills and tools. She also aspires to have a career in the Allied Health industry and is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences through Open Universities Australia. She balances work and life by spending time with her little family consisting of her husband and their young daughter.
